Volunteer registration is officially OPEN for the IWBF Wheelchair Basketball World Championships, taking place in Ottawa, Ont., from Sept 9–19, 2026.

This is your chance to go behind the scenes of a world-class international sporting event and help welcome the best wheelchair basketball athletes, officials and fans from around the globe to Canada’s capital.

“At Ottawa 2026, our volunteers are more than just helpers—they are the architects of the attendee experience” says Susan Sloan, Ottawa 2026 Volunteer Lead.  “Join us for a unique opportunity to make a massive impact, gain invaluable skills and help us show the world the very best of Ottawa.”

Accessible entry to the building is available through Gate 1. Accessible seating can be purchased when selecting your tickets, and an elevator is available at Gate 1 for convenient access. For more information, please visit the TD Place website
