Ottawa 2026 Teams Up with Abilities Ottawa to Expand Para Sport Opportunities

Wheelchair Basketball Canada and Ottawa 2026 are proud to collaborate with Abilities Ottawa in delivering the Schools Program. As a key partner, Abilities Ottawa plays a crucial role in fostering inclusivity and creating opportunities for youth to engage with Para sport.

While the Ottawa 2026 Schools Program introduces students to the basics of wheelchair basketball, Abilities Ottawa’s Para Sport Education Program offers a more comprehensive experience. Their program not only delves deeper into wheelchair basketball but also introduces participants to a variety of Para sports and inclusive recreation. This collaboration ensures that the legacy of Ottawa 2026 will continue well beyond the event itself, with Abilities Ottawa sustaining these impactful initiatives and fostering long-term community engagement.

By working together, Wheelchair Basketball Canada, Ottawa 2026, and Abilities Ottawa are building a foundation for a more inclusive, accessible, and active future for youth in Ottawa and beyond. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to empowering youth of all abilities through sport, education, and personal growth.
